About South along the river to Špica and the Botanical Garden
Leave the old town by the Cobblers’ Bridge and follow the Ljubljanica south past the Krakovo and Trnovo embankments, where willows trail into the water. After about ten minutes you reach Špica, the old town beach, now a park with wooden sun decks. Cross the light Hladnik’s Footbridge to the University Botanical Garden and finish with tea at its little tea room, Primula. Our advice: perfect for a summer evening; in season you can take a boat back.
