About A Plečnik walk: Trnovo to the market
Start at Plečnik House in Trnovo, where the architect lived and worked (visits are by guided tour), then cross his Trnovo Bridge, planted with birch trees, in front of Trnovo Church. Follow the Gradaščica and the Ljubljanica embankments north to the National and University Library on Turjaška ulica, then French Revolution Square with his Illyria column and Križanke. Continue through Congress Square to the Triple Bridge, and finish under the long colonnade of the Central Market by the river. Our advice: allow two hours with stops, and see our Plečnik back story first.
