A roof cut for a lime tree
About St Bartholomew’s Church, Šiška
St Bartholomew’s, known to people in Šiška as the Old Church, has a long history. Plečnik later redesigned it and added a stone staircase leading towards Tivoli Park, and he left a semicircular opening in the roof above the main entrance so that the lime tree beside the church could keep growing. Our advice: a peaceful detour from the north end of Tivoli.
