About Güjžina
Güjžina brings the cooking of Prekmurje, the flat farmland in Slovenia’s far north-east, to Mestni trg. Try bograč, a goulash-style stew, bujta repa, made with fermented turnip, millet and pork, and finish with prekmurska gibanica, the layered cake of poppy seed, cottage cheese, walnut and apple, or vanilla ice cream with pumpkin-seed oil. Pumpkin-seed oil and other Prekmurje products are sold to take home. Our advice: a fine stop between the Town Hall and the cathedral.
