Every summer the Ljubljana Festival fills the city with orchestras, opera, ballet, theatre and recitals, its main stage the open-air theatre in the courtyard of Križanke, the former monastery remodelled by Plečnik. Programmes and dates are published on the festival’s own website, ljubljanafestival.si. Our advice: book the big concerts early, and bring a light layer for the evening.
