About Ljubljana Islamic Cultural Centre
The Islamic Cultural Centre in lower Šiška, the first in Slovenia, is a complex of dazzling white buildings designed by the architects Bevk Perović, and one of Ljubljana’s most prominent contemporary landmarks. It blends a pared-back modern language with traditional elements of Islamic architecture, including a dome hidden beneath the roof, and accommodates around 1,400 people for spiritual, educational, sports and residential purposes. Our advice: visitors should dress modestly and respect prayer times.
