About Tobačna 001 and the Tobacco Museum
Tobačna 001 occupies part of Ljubljana’s former tobacco factory, west of the centre. Its Tobacco Museum, renewed in 2011 for the 140th anniversary of the factory’s foundation, tells the history of the works and the lives of the people who worked there, while Galerija 001 shows contemporary artists, many of whom stay in the centre’s residence while they exhibit.
