About Triglav Insurance Palace

The Triglav insurance company palace on Miklošičeva cesta was built between 1928 and 1930 to a design by Jože Plečnik and his team. It has an unusual shape and a magnificent façade: smooth stone below, brick above, with stone balustrades between the windows and monumental brick columns rising through the upper storeys. The corner entrance leads to a famous trapezoidal staircase with marble columns. Our advice: look up from the opposite pavement to take it all in.
