About Kamniška Bistrica Valley

North of Kamnik, the Kamniška Bistrica valley runs deep into the Kamnik–Savinja Alps, its river rising here and cutting through a series of gorges. Walk to the main spring and the smaller Mali izvirek, the Veliki and Mali Predaselj gorges and the Orglice waterfall; the valley is a base for mountaineers, and an aerial cable car climbs to the Velika Planina plateau. There is an Alpine hut and small guesthouses. Our advice: wear proper shoes and bring a layer, even in summer.
