Vurnik House

About Vurnik House
Even on Miklošičeva, Ljubljana’s most colourful Art Nouveau street, the former Cooperative Business Bank stands out. It was built in 1921 to a design by the architect Ivan Vurnik, with a richly painted façade, and is considered one of the finest examples of the Slovenian national style. Inside, the large hall has wall paintings and a glass ceiling of small blue squares. Our advice: walk the length of Miklošičeva from Prešeren Square to the station for its Art Nouveau façades.
