Gostilna Ledinek
On top of Šmarna gora
About Gostilna Ledinek
After the climb up Šmarna gora, the hill north of the city that half of Ljubljana walks up at weekends, everyone stops at Ledinek on the summit. The house dish is Šmarna gora ričet, a pearl-barley stew with smoked pork; there is also jota, sauerkraut with buckwheat žganci, Carniolan sausage and štruklji with cottage cheese or tarragon, and breads made with wild garlic or walnuts. Our advice: walk up from Tacen or Medno in about an hour and have the ričet.
